Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya
Chandrakala Devi Sarda Charitable Trust's effort to make a difference

Ram Dev Sarda Maha VidyalayaDespite ample initiations from various quarters, the quotient of literacy in the country has not reached its absolute capacity. A lot has been done; a lot still remains. Bihar, a seat of learning in the glorious past, is now left with a decadent educational system. With the establishment of the Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya, Chandrakala Devi Sarda Charitable Trust attempts to restore luster to education in Bihar.

The land of Nalanda and Vikramshila is now the land of Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya too. RDS College, located at Salmari in the Purnea District of Bihar, is a premier management institution that churns out around 5000 students each year. Sarda Group, the founder and financer of the RDS College and its hostels, took care of the college in its initial years and finally handed it over to the Government of Bihar for administration. The aspiration of the group, revolving around this college, is now being fulfilled by the principal of the college Mr. Jagdish Prasad Chaudhury, an educationist and leading thinker.

The deceased pillars of the Sarda Group, Late Sri Ramdev Sarda and Late Sri Shiwlal Sarda, believed in returning to nature and society what it gives us. With this motto in mind, their successor and the soul of the present Group, Mr. Ghanshyam Sarda built Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya. The College was founded with the view of contributing towards the nation's knowledge society and offering high quality management education and research to neglected areas and underprivileged sections.
